Each piece is carefully hand–crafted by Tamara with local Clay from the nearby Westerwald Region, one of the oldest Clay Regions in Germany. Tamara is working and curiously experimenting with different techniques, from wheel–throwing to slipcasting to handbuilding. Since all products are crafted by hand, irragularities may occur on the surface that add their own beauty and character to each piece.
The fermentation pots are made in collaboration with an old manufacture located in the Westerwald Region.
The stoneware pieces are fired at 1220 degrees, they are dishwasher safe. I still recommend a careful treatment and by washing them by hand, they will last much longer.
The Clay used in the Studio is reused / recycled / reclaimed.
